Mack Seckinger was appointed chief of police of the City of Metter Police Department in 2015. Prior to his appointment in Metter, Chief Seckinger served with the City of Valdosta Police Department, Valdosta State University Police Department and Armstrong State University Police Department.
Chief Seckinger has served in law enforcement for 21 years and has worked in numerous capacities. He has a BS degree in Criminal Justice, Masters of Public Administration and is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, Session 203, and is a graduate of the Columbus State University Command College. He is also a graduate of Georgia State University's Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE) Program as a visiting delegate to the Nation of Israel in 2002. He is currently in the dissertation phase in the Doctorate of Public Administration at Valdosta State University.
