    Welcome to the Metter Police Department's website. While the challenges of modern law enforcement change constantly, the basics of treating everyone with dignity and respect remain and are the cornerstone of the Metter Police Department's operating principles.

    It is our goal to provide our citizens, businesses, and visitors with the highest quality police service. We are hopeful that the information provided here will be useful and will enhance your understanding of our agency and the types of services we provide.

    We realize that our ability to be effective is dependent on good communication with our citizens and a cooperative approach to problem solving. We continue to explore new ways to partner with our residents, business owners, and school communities in an effort to improve the quality of life in our community.     Please take a few minutes to learn more about the Metter Police Department’s divisions and services. You will find that our employees are a dedicated, well-trained and enthusiastic group of professionals who take pride in their work.     The Metter Municipal Court is held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. Court is held in the main courtroom at the Candler County Courthouse. You may also pay tickets and fines online.
