AS THE CITY CONTINUES TO WORK DELIGENTLY IN HURRICANE RELATED DEBRIS REMOVAL, WE ASK THAT ALL CITIZENS BE PATIENT WITH THIS PROGRESS. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WILL TAKE SEVERAL MONTHS TO ACCOMPLISH.
SINCE THE HURRICANE ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2024, THROUGH OCTOBER 25, 2024, THE CITY HAS REMOVED OVER 5,615 TONS (11,230,000 POUNDS) OF DEBRIS. OUR HOPE IS THAT WE CAN HAVE ALL THE DEBRIS REMOVED BY JANUARY 1, 2025.
AGAIN, THE CITY OF METTER THANKS EVERYONE FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE AND PATIENCE IN THIS PROCESS.
