OFFICIAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Metter, Georgia, will hold a public meeting on April 29, 2025 at the hour of 5:15 p.m., at City Hall at 49 S Rountree Street, Metter, GA for the purpose of hearing objection, if any, to a petition for annexation of Tract 1 consisting of 0.739 acres, according to a survey prepared by William Mark Glisson, dated September 9, 2021 and recorded in Plat Book 29, Page 78, Candler County records, and more formally identified below. This property is presently not zoned. An application has been filed for the zoning of this property as HOC. Following the public meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission’s recommendation will be heard by the Mayor and Council Members for their decision at a regular Council Meeting. All parties at interest and citizens shall have the opportunity to be heard at said time and place relative to the petition and application for zoning/rezoning by Anthony & Tamra Wells Investment, LLC.
All that certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the 1685th G.M. District of Candler County, Georgia, being designated as Tract No. 1, containing 0.739 acres, more or less, together with all improvements thereon as shown on that certain plat of survey dated September 21, 2021, prepared for Tim Coleman by William Mark Glisson, Georgia Registered Land Surveyor, and recorded in Plat Book 29, Page(s) 78, Candler County records. Said plat and the reference thereof are incorporated herein for a more complete and accurate description.
The within described tract is bounded, now or formerly, according to the aforementioned plat as follows: North by lands of Metter Hospitality, Inc.; East by Tract No. 2 of said survey; South by the right-of-way of Fortner Road; and West by lands of Metter Hospitality, Inc.
This is a portion of that same property as was conveyed by that certain Warranty Deed dated November 22, 2021 from SRP Properties, LLC to Metter Eats, LLC, and recorded in Deed Book 301, Page(s) 546-549, Candler County records.
Subject to any and all applicable zoning ordinances, easements, restrictive covenants, and/or rights-of-ways in use or of record, including but not limited to that certain twenty two foot (22’) access easement as shown on the above-referenced survey, and evidenced by that certain Easement dated September 11, 2000, and recorded in Deed Book 174, Page(s) 533-535, Candler County records.
